Music Sound Files
We will be moving the sound files from other pages to this one to render them easier to find.
The format will usually be MP3 and should open automatically either in Quicktime or your default media player.
If they do not, or are very slow to load, we suggest you right click on the link and then "save target as". The file will then be downloaded to your computer and you will be able to file it or open it at leasure.
All files were virus-checked before uploading to this site, but we strongly recommend that you virus-check the file during or immediately after downloading, before opening.

These two tunes are by Gordon Jackson, in the style of a ruchanitsa, a type of Bulgarian dance in 7/8 time. A traditional klezmer frailach (a wedding tune) from, well, somewhere in eastern Europe, probably. Learned initially from the incomparable Kevin Burke.
Muineira. A muiñeira is a Galician tune in 6/8, so pretty much like a jig..
